Our History
The Beyond Achievers Awards was born out of a deep conviction that every young person carries potential, every story holds purpose, and every journey deserves to be seen and celebrated. What began as a vision to recognize the character, resilience, and positive impact of young people has grown into a movement dedicated to empowering the next generation.
In 2026, the first edition of the Beyond Achievers Awards marked the beginning of a platform designed not only to celebrate achievement but also to inspire growth, confidence, and purpose among young people. The initiative recognizes teens, young adults, and emerging leaders who are making meaningful contributions to their communities. At the same time, it honours mentors, coaches, youth pastors, leaders, and key workers whose guidance helps shape the future of the next generation.
At the heart of this movement are two key initiatives. The first is the Beyond Achievers Awards, an annual celebration held in the UK and expanding internationally, dedicated to recognizing excellence, character, and leadership among young people and those who support them. The second is NextGenCAN (Next Generation Capacity Activation Network), a dynamic platform that connects mentors, leaders, and change-makers with youth and young adults. Through capacity activation nights and mentorship experiences, NextGenCAN equips young people with the skills, guidance, and confidence needed to create real impact in their communities.
Rooted in strong Christian values, the Beyond Achievers initiative seeks to uplift young people, strengthen communities, and pass the baton of faith, leadership, and responsibility to the next generation. The vision is simple yet powerful: to build a thriving community where young people are empowered, recognized, and equipped with faith, skills, and mentorship to achieve greatness and positively influence the world around them.
The initiative was birthed through the vision of Pastor Eunice Bako, Executive Pastor at Victory Assembly and Head of Beyond Achievers, and is supported by Pastor Musa Bako, Senior Pastor of Victory Assembly, alongside a dedicated and passionate team committed to nurturing future leaders.
From its first gathering, the Beyond Achievers movement has stood as a celebration of ambition, resilience, faith in action, character, and excellence. More than an awards ceremony, it is a platform of inspiration and transformation—one that continues to grow across cities and nations as it champions the next generation of leaders, change-makers, and trailblazers.
